I know we have all been deeply saddened by the tragedy that hit Haiti this past week. I cannot even begin to fathom the pain they are suffering as I sit here in my heated home with my sweet family by my side. My heart aches for this sweet community who has suffered tremendously even before this earthquake hit.
It is overwhelming to imagine what they are going through and it is a pain I will never truly understand. As I think of children trapped in buildings, and mothers giving birth to angels in debris with no food and water to sustain them I can only think of ways I NEED to help. I know we are poor medical students and cant give much but we CAN help and I know it will make a difference.

I'm amazed at the generosity I have seen going on between blogging friends.
Crystal at MoneySavingMom has decided to donate $10 for every person that blogs about what they have done to help the people in Haiti.
She asks that we do these two simple things:
1) Pray--Pray for these destitute people to have the provisions they need. Pray for the mothers and fathers who are left childless. Pray for the children who are left motherless and fatherless. The heartache and suffering they are experiencing is unimaginable to most of us. They need miracles; they need hope; they need our prayers.
2) Give--There are so many different ways you can give and no matter your financial situation, there is something you can do. Even if it seems like it's a drop in the bucket, remember that a bucket of water is made up of that--drops!!
Our family has and will continue to pray for the people suffering in Haiti. We have also decided to donate our "extra" money that we would normally have used for going out or purchasing things that are not a necessity, especially in these times of great need.
Desperation is growing in Haiti and I know we can all help make a substantial difference by donating just a few dollars. Imagine the impact we can make by giving to God's little Angels. There are plenty of places to donate, and remember that "a bucket of water is made up of that--drops!!"
Please Blog about what you are doing to help and link back to Moneysavingmom. On her site she lists different organizations that accept donations. There is also about a hundred other people you can link up to. I figure that me posting about this and linking up to other blogs will give a lot more money to the survivors in Haiti.

Thank you for linking up!
