So saw this beauty on Craigslist for $80 bucks. I had just sold my other kitchen table(It was too small now) on there for $160. I thought THIS is a good deal!

First things first. I sanded down all the nasty bumps on this table. I forgot to take a picture of the legs, but those were all bit at by a dog. I filled those with wood putty and then sanded them as well.
I gave her a good prime coat with an oil based primer, and then moved on to two coats of white. After that I glazed with a Ralph Lauren Glaze.

Isn't she a beauty. SOO much cleaner!

I think every piece of furniture needs a little distressing and new hardware. I got these knobs at HL for 1.50 each.
Oh you did so good! I am wanting to paint my table but have not braved it yet...Tell me how it weathers...I have 3 sons and I want to make our table indestructible, but I have not figured out how just yet:) Your table is so great! Good Job!

I like the new look. Did the white paint yellow after the poly coat was added?
ReplyDeleteI usually don't care if it changes my paint colors. I read that Minwax Polyacrylic does not yellow.
