Winter Blocks

So I have seen these done several different ways- but this is my take on it. I know I am a little late posting these but they can be done for any holiday. I used 4 12x12 pieces I had left over from other projects and painted around the edges. After the paint was dry I modpodged the scrapbook paper on.
I used a 3m sander to make the paper and block become "one" and to give it that smooth appeal.
The block on the right is not sanded. Another good reason to sand the edges, is because it hides the places I cut crooked! whoops!
To finish these off you can add as much bling as you want, but I chose to make them simple, with all that was going on below them.

These are seriously so easy and very reasonable to make. I plan to change them out for every holiday! Why not?!

  2. I am interested in knowing what you do for the wood. Where do you go to get the size needed?
