Stand for my nativity

So my Mother got me a nativity set this year(THANK YOU) and gave it to me a little early. Each year she's going to get me a new piece. What a fun tradition! Anyways until I get the full on stable I needed a stand for all of the beautiful pieces. I took a 12x12 board(you can get these cut at HD for CHEAP!) and I simply glued each piece of jute to the board. The glue was honestly the most expensive part.
To finish this board it cost me less then a dollar.
However it wouldn't be complete without the stars to lead the wise men. I found these in line at Jo-Anns for a dollar each. I took some champagne spray paint and wah-lah.

I am sooo glad I have a nativity this year!

  4. Love the natural jute for the stand! It will be so special to collect the pieces of your nativity each year. I started a Fontanini one for my daughter this year--her first year married! Love the stars!

  6. Loving the colourless version of this one! I can see it working anywhere without being too intrusive. Beautiful job. :)
