{Tasty Tuesday} Caramel Apples

So I posted these last year about the week after I started my blog, so I'm sure most of you haven't seen these yet. They are super easy and a cute treat to give out!
First things first melting the caramel. I love using the kraft caramel bits...so much easier then unwrapping several caramels. :) Add a Tb or 2 of water and melt on medium heat until you get a nice smooth consistency.

Dip the apples around the caramel, and use a spoon to smooth. Then put candy corn, sprinkles, heath bits, chocolate or whatever your heart desires around the base of the apple. Set on wax paper and allow to cool.

Put caramel apple in a cupcake holder and wrap up.
Tie with a cute ribbon, add a leaf and acorn and wahlah! Cute little gift!

  25. How yummy. My friend and I were making a whole bunch of caramel apples for our church carnival last year and it was such a pain unwrapping all those pieces. We needed about 2 more bags and sent her daughter to the store who came back with those!! Makes so much more sense, I just didn't think to look for them. Would've save a bunch of time! I am hosting a Holiday Recipe Exchange starting Nov 1 if you would like to share some yummies www.foodfunandfotos.com
