Crazy Christmas Crafter: I Am Momma Hear Me Roar

Hello I Heart Nap time friends!  I am Cheri from I Am Momma Hear Me Roar.  I am happy to be hear to today because I truly LOVE nap time (due to my two crazy boys that keep me running around like crazy) and I truly LOVE Christmas!  Around our house I have been starting to decorate for Christmas and I've been trying to teach my 3 year old boy what Christmas is really about.

Today I'm going to share my Christmas front door decor with you.  As I mentioned, I wanted it to reflect the true meaning of Christmas.  I brainstormed a while and this is what I came up with.

Most of the time I like to make everything, but every once in a while I find something I love so much that I decide to make the purchase.  The red wreath is from Target, but you could use any wreath you have.  The star was a regular star for the top of the tree, but we unscrewed the coil leaving just the star.  Then I propped the star into the wreath, being extra careful not to break the wood-shaving roses.  I didn't want to use glue because I wanted to be able to take out the star and leave just the wreath after Christmas.

I cut the vinyl lettering with my mom's Silhouette, but you could also just buy letters them from the scrapbook section.  You could also order it as a custom phrase from a vinyl company.  The phrase is from Matthew 2:2.

Just to give you another take on it, I originally wanted to buy one of those giant tin stars, cover it in glitter, and tie it up with a thick satin ribbon, but all the stores are so full of their Christmas decor that they didn't have any in stock.  Bummer.  So, if you have one of those I think it would look beautiful that way as well.

Thanks for having me today.  Merry Christmas!  Feel free to stop by my blog anytime.
