Back to reality…

I hope everyone had a Happy Christmas! This Christmas was absolutely wonderful! It was so fun to spend time with our families, enjoy family traditions, watch the cousins act out the nativity, eat good food, watch movies, eat more treats and watch my little boy open his presents. His excitement made everything worth it! Here are a few of the highlights…Starred Photos3

Another highlight was when my husband surprised me with this canon rebel for Christmas!

Holy cow!! Words can’t describe how excited I was. I was shocked!! I pulled it right out of the box and started snapping away! I love how it can capture the EXACT moment and the exact expression on my babies face. Ever since I’ve had kids I’ve dreamed of having one of these cameras so I could capture moments like these…

I just couldn’t capture that sweet smile, those blue eyes, the little baby acne and chubby cheeks with my old camera. So I am forever grateful to my husband for this wonderful gift! Btw this pic is also unedited and on the VERY basic mode. It will be fun to learn more about editing ONE day.  I really can’t wait to figure out all the cool features on this camera! I’m thinking about taking a digital photography class next semester to teach me more about the aperture, shutter speed and all the other things that scare me on the camera. lol. Anyone want to take one with me, or know of a good class? I know a lot of people have taken classes online as well. If you’ve found any good websites or blogs that have been helpful to you, please let me know! I’m so anxious to learn EVERYTHING I can.

Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas! We enjoyed today by relaxing, watching Christmas movies and eating lots of Christmas treats… but I’m afraid tomorrow is back to reality! I have got to start eating healthier and get this house organized! The last 2 months (since my baby was born) I’ve kind of put everything on hold. The little things just didn’t matter. Now that I think of it I don’t think my house has been dusted this whole time. lol. But I’m ready to get back in the swing of things… I always love starting a new year and having a fresh start. We also have a few fun projects planned this week that I can’t wait to show you! Until then…

  2. I am so glad that your holiday turned out so well. I can't wait to see what you have planned for us in 2011. Oh yes, I tried your oreo brownie recipe, but with the mint oreos because they were out of candy cane. So, to match I also used Andes mints on top. They were wonderful. My dad thought they were a great gift. Thank you so much for sharing.
