Today we started refinishing our kitchen table. It was white (which I loved), but with a two year old it got trashed. Especially since I didn’t do a very good paint job the first time around.
So anyways… we began sanding all the paint off and 3 hours later we finally got it all off. I’m wondering if I should of stripped it… then again I’ve heard stripping is a nightmare. I’m waiting for the final coat to dry and I’ll put the topcoat on tomorrow. I can’t wait to show you the final result. I think you’re going to like it!
I also worked on some goodies that I will be adding to the shop this weekend. I have about 15 different things I’ll be adding, I just need to take pictures of them. There will be a few necklaces, bracelets, more tu-tu’s (I had no idea these would sell out!) and a few more hair accessories.
Oh and while I was burning some flowers… some how my phone caught on fire. Don’t ask me how, I have no idea. All the sudden I just smelt burning, and I saw the phone sitting on top of the candle. All I could do was laugh.
It still works… so it looks like I won’t be getting a new phone any time soon. Darn it!
That look slike it really caught on fire!!! Sounds like a productive day. I can't wait to see all the new fun goodies and the table.
ReplyDeleteI re-did my table as well. I sanded the crap out of the top and then stripped the legs. The stripping is a little messy but the sanding can leave imprints. Over all if I had to do it again I would choose to strip it all. :) Try it next time. You might be suprised. :)
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! Who knew phones could catch fire like that? Anyway, I"m excited to see how the table turns out!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Question what is that glue gun? Does it not have the cord attached and it heads up while standing there??
ReplyDeleteWow, that is crazy! I'm glad that was the worst of it.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that is so funny! The things we sacrifice in the name of a good craft- lol ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the table!
Oh my gosh, I don't think I've ever heard of a phone catching on fire. Wow.
