Guest Blogger: Busy Bee Lauren

Let's welcome Lauren--- she's the QUEEN of thrifting! All her finds are lovely!

hello everyone!
my name is lauren, and i blog over at busy bee lauren.
i am super excited to talk about my favorite subject: THRIFTING!
when jamielyn asked me to blog about thrifting, i decided it would be fun to show you my very favorite thrifted things over the past year. between hunting for vintage clothes, and finding awesome things for my home, Goodwill is basically my best friend.

all of my polaroid cameras have been found at various thrift stores!
also, that shelf was hideous, until i painted it and added new knobs.
i now hang necklaces off of the pegs!

i love collecting art from thrift stores. it's SO inexpensive, but add so much to your home to have art that defines who you are as a person. this little painting is one of my favorites.

speaking of art work, sometimes the art in the frame is hideous, but the frame is beautiful!
i loved this frame, so i took it home and framed a drawing i had purchased off of etsy.

i love this vintage turntable that i found. all it needed was a receiver, but it works great!

with the help of my older brother, i have been able to find some pretty sweet records! they usually only run for about a dollar! get ready to scour when you go looking!

this armchair is one of my very favorite furniture pieces in my home.
i only paid 10 dollars for it!
Photobucket
this oversized painting of marilyn monroe was only 4 dollars on a 50% off day!

all of these outfits are made up of clothing that i have found at various thrift stores.
in the year 2010 i didn't buy ANY new clothes, so i had to learn to find great clothes at Goodwill.
thanks for letting me show you my favorite things!

  2. Great score(s)! The goat print is awesome. We love reading the story "Dr. Goat" and this print would be fun to have hanging. That camera looks like the one I have been indecisive about for several days now. Fuji instax? Thrifty gal you are :)
