Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend a Photography workshop with Sierra Studios Photography. It was so so fun! Not only was it tons of fun, but I learned so much! I’m definitely a hands-on learner, so this class was perfect for me. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel like I know how to use my camera a lot better now.
Here’s a few of the girls from the class. I also met Steph from Somewhat Simple who’s super cute.
Here’s Jessica on her cute bike. We were practicing taking pictures of “moving objects” lol. Isn’t she cute?
Of course I had to take a picture of the beautiful cupcakes. They were delicious too! A fun thing I learned in the class was how to take different pictures of running water. How cool is that?
Here I am messing around with the aperture.
The last hour of the class we got to practice shooting on a few models. This little girl was super cute! These pictures *almost* look professional…don’t you think? ;)
Now that I know my camera a little better I need to figure out photo shop. I think that’s where a lot of the magic takes place.
Good news for all of you who live in AZ. She’s having another workshop this May and another one this fall. If you’re wanting to get to know your DSLR better, this class is for you. Hurry and sign up-she’s only got 3 spots left and your payment will secure your spot. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this! E-mail her at jessica@sierrastudiophotography.com for more details.
UPDATE: The e-mail is jessica@sierrastudiosphotography.com.
Oh my gosh, that's AWESOME!!! I wish I lived there, I would totally go to the workshop, too! Your pictures turned out FABOULOUS!!! I don't think I'll ever figure out Photoshop...sigh. Thank heavens for Picnik.com!
ReplyDeleteJust emailed her to sign up, I know I don't have my camera yet, but I wanted to get in on the class for when I do!!! Thanks Jamie!
ReplyDeleteI love pictures of running/splashing water
ReplyDeletei just had a double take- i didn't realize it was such a small world! You are pictured with my cousin Stephanie and our family friend Lindsey! How funny! I was like "what the?!" and i had to search your blog to see if the mysterious author behind "a heart naptime" was someone I knew or not!
ReplyDeleteMaybe someday :)....
What a cool opportunity, I wish I lived closer and could attend!
