ok...now onto the super cute and super easy tutorial for today...
glitter magnet letters
supplies
letters {1.99/letter from michael's}
magnets
scissors
foam brush
glitter
mod podge
spray adhesive
hot glue gun
hot glue
i spelled the word 'joy' but you could get as creative as you would like. these are great for displaying holiday cards on your fridge, so if you get a lot of cards you could spell something like Christmas or happy holidays!!
using your foam brush apply lots of mod podge.
{hint: when i do these again i will probably paint my letters the same color as my glitter first, however you don't have to! i didn't this time and they still look great!}
dump lots of glitter on your letter and then shake off all the excess.
i then used this spray adhesive over the glitter to try and prevent the glitter from constantly falling off.
next i traced my letters on my magnets, cut out the magnets, and hot glued them on.
pretty huh?! glitter is soooo in this year for the holidays--in a classy way!! i can't wait to share all the other fun glitter ideas i have.
like i said...perfect for displaying all those lovely holiday cards you receive this year!!
custom holiday cards from HERE
these would also be great as a gift!! you could do single letters as monograms and cover them with scrapbook paper and mod podge...the possibilities are endless!!

ReplyDeleteAdorable-cute and simple but with some glitzy impact!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I only decorate in black & silver so this might have to be something I create. However I have a silver fridge so I may have to do black or red letters. I have small doses of red through out my kitchen and living room. So cute! I love it!
