Fundraising Idea

This past weekend we had a successful YW fundraiser to earn money for girls camp. If you’re looking for a good fundraiser salsa and chocolate dipped strawberries are the way to go! Keep in mind we sold these only to people we knew... friends, family and co-workers.

We sold 1/2 dozen chocolate dipped strawberries for $10 and 16 oz. salsa for $7. We sold almost 200 salsas and 150 packages of strawberries. The girls did great, and everyone  was happy with their orders.

The YW made all the goodies and worked so hard! They had everyone pre-order what they wanted and then we delivered them Saturday afternoon.

I was pleased with my order. :) I think my husband only got one… whoops!
*Ghirardelli dipping chocolate works great (Thanks Vicki!!). Make sure to get dipping chocolate instead of just melting chocolate chips..they look and taste much better.*
I {heart} Chocolate dipped Strawberries.

  3. Those are great ideas and it looks like the girls did a beautiful job. I am a bit surprised though-at least in our neck of the woods those kind of fundraisers aren't allowed anymore-

  6. Oohhhh that is a great idea. We have been told that fundraisers are no longer allowed in the church for the Young Women and Young Men but I think it can be a good thing.

  7. I don't like melting/dipping chocolates... I don't think they taste good, at all! We never seem to have problems with 1/2 milk chocolate chips and 1/2 semi-sweet chocolate chips. Works every time! *B

Quick question...where did you get the cute containers for the strawberries and the salsa?

  12. Hey ladies! We got the containers from smart and final. It's a good place to buy in bulk for cheap. I know Sam's Club and Costco had some similar ones too. Good luck!
