Welcome to another week of Sundae Scoop!
I’m excited to get this party started! wahoo!
First off let me announce the winner from last week’s Sundae Scoop.
I would LOVE the ivory rose ring! Everything in the shop is lovely though!! :)
Giveaway:
Today’s giveaway is brought to you by Light Scoop. To be honest I’m found using my pop-up flash a lot. Trust me I’m not proud of it. I know photographs look MUCH better in natural light… but what’s a girl to do when I take most of my photos at night. Let’s face it, I’m a night owl crafter. I also realize my pictures look shiny and off color with the flash… and I hate it. LUCKILY I’ve had the opportunity to review the Lightscoop and must say the pictures look WAY more natural and crisp than with just the pop up flash. Take a look.. You’ll be quite surprised. And Yes I did take a picture of thin mints girl scout cookies… which are now all gone. sigh.
The top picture is WITH the Lightscoop and the bottom is obviously not. I seriously couldn’t believe the results until I loaded my camera onto the computer. The pictures are taken on the SAME exact mode. Everything was the exact same when taking these pictures except the top picture has the Light Scoop attached. Crazy huh?!
I’ve enjoyed playing around with my Lightscoop this week and have been really impressed with the pictures. The only downside is you can’t take pictures outside because it needs a wall to bounce the light off of. It is DEFINITELY worth $29.95 rather than spending a couple hundred extra bucks on an external flash. I think this is a great deal, with great results.
A little about Light Scoop:
“Lightscoop® is a smart low-tech device that creates soft, flattering light by redirecting your camera’s pop-up flash to a ceiling or wall.
Don’t let your convenient little pop-up flash ruin your photos with evil red eye, ugly shadows, hot spots, bleached out faces, underexposed colors, and blurry movement that exist only in your photographs, not in the real world.
Slip a Lightscoop® on your camera and never miss out on another fabulous picture! Lightscoop creates soft, natural light and lets you capture the scene the way you see it.”
Say goodbye to ugly flash photos with your Light Scoop.
The nice people over at Lightscoop would like to give one I Heart Nap Time reader there very own Lightscoop. Awesome huh!?

Don’t forget to grab a button or link back to the party. Have a great weekend!
I need one of these! I also am a night crafter and hate having to wait until morning to take pictures. That thing is RAD!
ReplyDeleteI need this because I am constantly holding a piece of paper over my pop up flash! My sweet little babe hates my bright pop up flash ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm already a follower of your blog ;)
ReplyDeleteOkay so I nee-eed(can you hear the whine in my voice) the light scoop! I really struggle taking pictures. I am also a night owl crafter! Thanks for the great Linky Party and Super Great Blog! YOU ROCK!!

ReplyDeleteI need a light scoop! My little guy's cute little face always gets so washed out by my regular flash. I've tried making "homemade" light scoops & I can never get them to work! Thanks for the chance to win!

Holy Cow! I had no idea that one of these existed! I ALWAYS craft at night, and I am constantly having to wait to take "finished" pictures until the next day, which is so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThis would be AWESOME!

ReplyDeleteI totally need this! :) I've been taking much better photos lately in manual mode, but the indoor lighting & flash issue isn't the best. This would be so helpful!!
ReplyDeleteI linked up my tulips at about the exact same time you left a comment on them on my blog...so weird! Anyway...I am #37 Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI linked up! :)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Light Scoop, but I have been desperately needing something like this. I, too, take most of my crafting pictures at nighttime, but end up having to wait until the next day. I also take pictures of food at nighttime because that's when I get to do most of my baking at cooking, and always end up with shotty results. AHH! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have one!!
ReplyDeleteI follow I ♥ Naptime.

I so need one of those! I have an external flash and while it's better than just the built in flash, it's still so harsh. This product sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteI follow you!
ReplyDeleteI linked up. Not sure if I'm supposed to leave a comment for that, but just in case :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I've wanted a new flash for indoor stuff. Especially since we don't get outside in this cold weather and I have cute kids I want pictures of. We send photos to Dad who is away with military. I liked you and lightscoop on FB, follow your blog, and blogged about this. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh my...
ReplyDeleteI struggle.
I really want to take amazing pictures, but just don't have it. I really think this would help me! how amazing! thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI need a light scoop because it will prevent my pictures from looking flat. I never use my flash for this reason it's just too powerful. Being able to bounce flash of walls is great though!
ReplyDeleteShared on FBOOK!
ReplyDeleteI've had my eye on a light scoop for a while now, figured I'd wait until my birthday. Hopefully I win, that would be so awesome! Thanks for the giveaway!
"Liked" Lightscoop! I already "like" I heart Naptime
ReplyDeleteI now am a "follower"! Whipee I REALLY hope I win. It's not an expensive accessory for great results.
ReplyDeleteI need a Light scoop - I have the absolutely worst lighting in my home. I do not have a lot of natural light so I have to rely on my camera flash or my nasty tungsten lights that leave all my pictures yellow. Help!!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteI like I ♥ Nap Time on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI need a lightscoop for late night project pictures too!
ReplyDeletei really need one of these! the pop up flash is driving me crazy and it looks like this could solve my problems--if i don't win it, i'll certainly buy one!
ReplyDeleteI definitely could use a light scoop! Not only are my kids at school during most of the good natural light hours, I live in the northwestern US so there is very little of the right light available from October to April!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the party!
I would love to win the lightscoop and be able to take good pictures inside - even at night. :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fantastic little gadget that I would definitely use! Thanks to you and Lightscoop for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for quite some time now. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI "like" you both on FB.
ReplyDeleteI follow you through email and I must admit I need the "light scoop" because I am fascinated by taking pictures of hands and I can see what a difference it would make in a picture.

ReplyDeleteAlready follow your blog.

ReplyDeleteI so NEED a light scoop! Amazing invention huh!! I am a newbie at taking pics (well trying to take appealing pics at least) so a light scoop would help me out! I am crossing my fingers!

ReplyDeleteGRADUATION!!!! I need this Light Stop. I have my youngest graduating from high school....my oldest will graduate from law school next yr, and middle child will grad from college in 2years....so many pictures..so many mistakes. I need all the help I can get.
ReplyDeleteI need one of these so I can take pictures of my newborn without blinding her! hat a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteI need a Lightscoop desparately. I am fed up with the washed out pics and the huge black shadows that come from using the flash on my SLR. if i don't use the flash, it's blurry. Would love, love, love to win a lightscoop
ReplyDeleteI follow I heart naptime!
ReplyDeleteI like I heart naptime on FB
ReplyDeleteI NEED that!! My house has almost no windows and gets very little natural light, so unless I take my photos outside or make my kids sit in an open doorway I have to use my pop up flash.

ReplyDeleteI am a follower and would love one to use on my pop up flash. With kiddos, the best time to craft is when they're sleeping. Which means pics are taken at night because I can't wait till morning to take them. :) Love it!!

ReplyDeleteI'm such a novice when it comes to photography, but I have a Canon Rebel XTI and my pictures look horrible. This looks likes something simple that I could use to make my pictures look so much better!
ReplyDeleteTHIS is the answer! I have a very expensive camera and I'm never happy with the photos because of lighting issues. I was just thinking this morning that I have got to figure out a way to fix it or get a new camera. I think this is my answer! Thanks for sharing it and the opportunity to win one!
ReplyDeleteoooo....I need one of these babies! Let's just say my pictures could use all the help they can get!
ReplyDeleteFacebooked it! :)
ReplyDeletei'm really sad i didn't know that this existed before now!!!!! why do i need one? because i have HORRIBLE lighting in my house. we are talking one window a room around here...& my kids manage to do something photo worthy either at night, or when it's completely overcast & there is no light in sight to peek through my one measily little window...
ReplyDeletethis is AWESOME! thanks for spreading the word & for the opportunity to own one!!
oh yea... i follow you on facebook :)

ReplyDeleteOh,I NEED one of these, for real! I have a Canon 30D and have never been happy with the pop-up flash. I think the website summed it up perfectly for me, "Don’t let your convenient little pop-up flash ruin your photos with evil red eye, ugly shadows, hot spots, bleached out faces, underexposed colors, and blurry movement that exist only in your photographs, not in the real world." I liked both your site and the Lightscoop site on FB, subscribed to your blog here, and now I'm off to post this give-away on my blog! :D
ReplyDeleteI blogged about this!

ReplyDeleteOf course I follow your blog.
ReplyDeleteI linked up to your great party!
ReplyDeleteI need this! I have a great camera, but you're right, the flash always ruins the light, and I end up spending forever in Photoshop fixing stuff. Pick me! Pick me!
ReplyDeleteI would love one for the late nights I still need to take pictures but no natural light!!
ReplyDeleteLiked you on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteFOllow you!
ReplyDeleteI need one of those light scopes for sure! I do most of my baking/cooking in the evening after work and food does not look too appetizing when taken using a flash!
ReplyDeleteOH and thanks so much for the invite! I linked up my Minty Oreos :)
ReplyDeleteAND I follow you!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I am SO impressed! Such a simple thing makes a huge difference. I take my own family photos using a timer and often have HUGE problems with the lighting, shadows, blurring! I want on bad!

ReplyDeleteI really need a Lightscoop! I always have to take my food photos outside since my kitchen is so dark. If I had one of these, maybe my neighbors wouldn't think I was so crazy taking pictures of cupcakes in my yard :)
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, I so need this! I detest the results I get with my pop-up flash (canon 600D) and prefer to get blurry shots with no flash to the harshness of the flash photos (or no photos at all) . If I don't win, I'll be trying to get one shipped to Australia for SURE!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower and love your blog.
ReplyDeleteI need one to get rid of the SHADOWS! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting! Love this blog party. your blog is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI would love this! It works so much better than a pop-up flash, and is light and compact.
ReplyDeleteAfter the kiddo is in bed is the only time I get things done, so I'm also a night owl crafter. And both my little boy and my husband have blue eyes, so there is ALWAYS the dreaded red-eye in our photos! This would be perfect!

ReplyDeleteI take a lot of photos at night for my crafting once I've completed projects and flash ruins the photo. Awfully so. I also have an almost 11 month old, and especially during this winter, we spent a lot of time indoors and I lost A LOT of what would otherwise be great photos to flash washout and other unmentionables. :( I'd really love the Lightscoop to help with these problems.
ReplyDeleteI REALLY need this. Not only am I a night time crafter, but I also have mostly north facing windows in my house so I find that I almost always have to use a flash. This would be so great.
ReplyDeleteI'd use this all the time! I have a Canon 50D. I'm always taking pictures of my niece and we can't always rely on natural light.
ReplyDeleteI follow I heart naptime!
ReplyDeleteI liked I heart naptime on FB.
ReplyDeleteI could use one of these VERY badly! I'm still learning manual mode and this would improve my pictures dramatically!
