First off, somehow I forgot to announce 2 winners from the Sophisticated Posies giveaway last week. The other winner is Katie @ EyeSpyDIY –email me at Iheartnaptime (at) gmail.com. If you didn’t win no worries Gretchen is offering you a 20% discount using code Posy20. wahoo!
When I first heard about Kristin’s book Say NO! to Auto I was so excited. The title speaks for itself. Of course I want to shoot in manual mode, it just doesn’t come as quickly as I thought it would. The thing I loved most about this book is the simplicity. To be honest big books scare me. Then when I try to read articles online they just go over the top of my head.
This E-book is sweet and short, simple and most importantly informative. It helps that it’s cute too. ;)
This book is for the amateur photographer, and helps you figure out the basics. It really is a quick read and not scary at all. I’ll be referring back to it often. Can’t wait till she comes out with an advanced version.
A little more about the book from Kristin:
“Say No! to Auto: 3 basic steps to understanding manual settings
I have broken down the complicated method of using the manual settings on slr cameras and narrowed it down to 3 basic questions you must ask yourself before taking a shot. I want to make it affordable to everyone, so selling the e-book for just $10. It is 18-4×6 pages with picture examples and settings of those images to help you in any lighting situation you may find yourself. I intentially made it pocket sized so it was easily transportable. This is an e-book, so you can print it and spiral bind it or put a ring on it, or even slip the 4×6 prints inside of a mini photo album to bind the book.”
To purchase the E-book click here. Thanks Kristin!
Disclaimer: I was not paid to right this post, however I did receive a free copy of the E-book Say NO! to Auto. All opinions are my own.
