I’ve decided it’s easier to plan out the whole month’s menu in advance. It took me about an hour to plan it all out, however I think it will save me time in the end! If you click on the recipe, most of them have links. I will try to get the other recipes up, as soon as I make them. :)
Enjoy!
I am really impressed. I keep meaning to do something like this for my family...I think you just inspired me to get going with it. Great idea. I want to eat at your house this month!
ReplyDeleteThis calendar is fantastic! Thanks so much for posting links to recipes. I really want to try all the meals that start with Creamy and/or Chicken!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I LOVE meal planning. I notice you make a lot of mexican dishes. I do the same thing! anyway, i'd love to try some of these recipes.
ReplyDeleteI agree that at least 2 weeks at a time is needed. It helps to buy frozen vegis and stuff like that in bulk and use it without spending too much extra on multiple ingredients that only get partially used.
ReplyDeleteSeriously girl! How long did it take you to think this up? It takes me a day just to plan dinners for a week! Thanks for your dinner ideas!
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea!!

It only took you an hour!!!!! Now I'm really impressed!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love using calendars! I make them for my work out days and my menu too! Do I stick to them? Nope! Something always gets me sidetracked from my plans! Do you stick to your menus? I need to know your tricks!!!

I plan my meals out for every two weeks but I always dread the day that I sit down to do it. I love this idea! I think I'm gonna give it a shot next time I menu plan. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's pretty impressive that you plan all your meals for the entire month! I do it day to day!
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh how hardcore are you!? I've never seen anyone plan the whole month so fabulously! I need to learn from you - I can barely plan a week i'm so distracted all the time! oops!
ReplyDeleteeverything looks yuuuummy!

I did a meal plan for a month too and posted it on my blog! ((Feel free to go use some of my recipes for next month!)) (First time ever doing any type of meal plan!! :) ) I went to the grocery store today and only spent a little more than I do for other trips aimed at buying food for two weeks or so! :) So rewarding!! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought I would try your BBQ chicken salad recipe for lunch YUM! Thanks for sharing, all who ate it loved it and said plaease make it again.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! We are waiting for our baby to arrive, so this month is going to be a little crazy. I will definitely consider this in the future though.
ReplyDeleteI used to plan a month at a time, too, until my picky-ass husband started saying things like "I'm not hungry for that" and "I can do some of the cooking." He's NOT a planner at ALL, so he has yet to cook a single meal. I now plan week-to-week, which stinks if you're trying to save money by using sales and coupons. Blah. I may have to resurrect my monthly meal calendar.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration! :)
THANK YOU!!! I have been telling my family we need to get a program. Now I can show them how it is done!
ReplyDeleteI'm so gonna use your calender! Yay! Now, how can I get you to grocery shop for me too?? haha :)
ReplyDeleteI have planned my meals monthly for over three years now. It does save a lot of time not only trying to decide what to make but for shopping too.....less time in the grocery store for sure :)
ReplyDeleteI did this beginning in the new year! I LOVE IT! I rotate the meals every 3 weeks so that we don't get bored of food but that i have the same shopping list for week 1, 2, 3, etc. It's sooooo easy and makes things run so much smoother!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post! I soooo need to do this too!
ReplyDeleteOh I am always at a loss for dinner inspiration! Thank you so much for the great ideas! I am off to check out some of those recipes!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes and Blessings

Genius! I love it. This would take care of a lot of shopping and with gas being a billion dollars a gallon, this would help! I am so doing this!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! We used to plan for the week and that didn't last very long so I don't think multiple months in a row would last either. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking this up as well.
impressive! I need to do this for my family...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing! Thinking of something is the hardest part of cooking!
ReplyDeleteMonthly menu ideas are the best. I have done this method for years.I started in the 80's when the kids were little. Now there's just the two of us, but I still do it. The only difference I have:
ReplyDeleteI do the montly menue with meal "ideas" for the month-in each meal square are a couple oflines at the bottom where I note-where I found the recipe and what page.
then I have a weekly menu that I take from the monthly menu for meals this coming week or two and along with that is a grocery item list. This way, when I go to the grocery before the coming week-I have the ingredients on hand for the meals.
Hope this makes sense!! But, honestly-you can't beat having menues (and or ideas of meals) and ingredients on hand with a busy life. Knowing where you found the recipe and having it on file also is nice, if you do a repeat.
Lots of good recipes here also!
Thank you for your blog, recipes and all. Great place to lose time,LOL! Love it.

I love reading your blog! I check it everyday to see if there is anything new I need to create for my self! I love this menu you do. I try to do a weekly one I dont like going to the grocery store unless I know I have a menu planned out. But i'm wondering do you have any make ahead meals or quick meals? I work full time so I dont have a lot of time to cook and I try to get something ready in the morning that I can just pop into the oven or even in the crockpot. Any suggestions?
